Ethics violation alleged over gas-tax law email from state DOT

Attorney Marty Lamb and state Rep. Geoff Diehl, both organizers behind the ballot question, asserted the email represents a violation of state law prohibiting the use of public resources for campaign purposes. Diehl is scheduled to debate the gas-tax-indexing law with Davey on WATD radio on Thursday evening.

Massachusetts House of Representatives OKs $12.7 billion transportation bond

Geoff Diehl and Shaunna O’Connell, two leading voices in the House in favor of repealing the gas tax indexing law at the ballot box in November, voted in favor of the transportation bond bill. Both Diehl and O’Connell have argued state government must do more to more efficiently spend the money it collects from taxpayers.

Rep. Geoff Diehl, a Whitman Republican, has filed an amendment to the House bill that would fix a “training wage” of $8 per hour for people younger than 20.
